Monday 22 May 2017 (7.00pm for 7.30pm)
Venue: Carmelite, Stirling Street, Aberdeen AB11 6JU

Delivered in Partnership with Burness Paull LLP and hosted by Carmelite Aberdeen, the Guest Speaker at this SCDI Influencers' Dinner is Kevin Stewart MSP, Minister for Local Government & Housing, The Scottish Government.

There is no shortage of key national and local issues to discuss which fall under the Minister's brief. Principal amongst these will be the recently concluded 'Places, People & Planning' Consultation on the future of the Scottish planning system. An analysis of responses to the Consultation will be ongoing at the time of the Dinner and these will inform the development and preparation of a draft Planning Bill which it is planned to bring before the Scottish Parliament before the end of the year.

The Minister's brief also includes housing, regeneration and of course Local Government, where with the completion of the recent local elections, new administrations will be taking shape across Scotland.
