Monday 23 October 2017 (11.45am - 1.45pm)
Venue: Sue Ryder, Dee View Court, Caiesdykes Road, Kincorth, Aberdeen AB12 5JY

Delivered in Partnership with Sue Ryder and hosted at their Dee View Court facility in Aberdeen, this informal SCDI Networking Lunch and 'Behind The Scenes' visit for our members will feature an overview of Sue Ryder and an insight into the workings of Scotland's only purpose built neurological Care Centre by Valerie Maxwell, Centre Director. In addition, Emma Leiper Finlayson, Capital Appeal Manager, will explain more about their ambitious plans to raise £3.9m to extend Dee View Court and care for a further 20 people in the community.

Sue Ryder is a health and social care charity which in Aberdeen, via their Dee View Court facility, provides 24-hour specialist care for people who have life-changing conditions affecting the brain and nervous system, such as Huntington's disease, multiple sclerosis, and acquired brain injuries. Home to 24 people from across the North-East of Scotland, demand for places at Dee View Court is high. With a waiting list that never gets any shorter the Centre needs to expand to give more people the care and support they need and deserve.

Following the presentations and a Q&A session, there will be the opportunity for a 'Behind the Scenes' tour of the facilities at Dee View Court. A Networking Lunch will complete proceedings.

Spaces are limited. SCDI Member places MUST be requested & registered in advance of the Lunch. Please contact fiona.downie@scdi.org.uk
