SCDI works across Scotland to ensure it reflects and actively supports members both nationally and locally. The SCDI regional office for the North East is in Aberdeen and it supports an active membership in the region, with direct links to the wider organisation and its membership. SCDI encourages members to make use of these direct links and to capitalise on the local networks and knowledge.

The third North East Business Week took place during 22-26 April 2013 and involved a programme of breakfasts, seminars, lunches and dinners all with the theme of driving growth. The programme addressed topics and themes including leadership, skills in the energy industry, entrepreneurship, developing talent, provision of skills through colleges, to name but a few.

SCDI delivered 2 events during the week: a lunchtime Business Seminar with Cathy Simpson of Aberdeen Foyer presenting; and an Influencers' Dinner which had Brian Veitch, Director, Arup as the guest speaker (pictured below).
