Since our first trade visit to Moscow in 1960, SCDI has organised and led 350 trade visits comprising over 5000 participants to 50 markets worldwide.
An SCDI trade visit offers companies an excellent vehicle to visit an export market, to conduct market research, appoint an agent or distributor or to visit existing customers.
SCDI offers accommodation discounts, financial grants to participants, market information, admin support and marketing and networking in the market.

The SCDI Trade Mission Programme is organised in partnership with
HSBC

Why a Trade Mission?

Whether you are a first-time exporter or already have experience of exporting, Trade Missions offer comprehensive support for companies from all sectors looking to increase sales. As a Mission Member, you will join a high profile group, with the flexibility to pursue individual business objectives as well as participation in group events.

Will I Get Help?

Advice and customised research is available at an early stage to allow you to arrange appointments in the market. You will also benefit from the publicity and targeted contacts created through the British Commercial network as part of the Trade Mission. Full on-ground support in the market is provided by the organisers.

What Does It Cost?

Mission members are responsible for the costs of travel, accommodation and subsistence. A travel package is offered at group rates. Any market enquiry work carried out through the Embassy Commercial section is also chargeable on an individual basis (costs are however heavily subsidised by the UK Trade and Investment).
