Since 1987, The Scottish Council for Development and Industry has pioneered the development of over 420 Young Engineers & Science Clubs throughout Scotland, hosted by schools and further education colleges, involving thousands of girls and boys in Primary and Secondary schools.

Aim
The aim of the Clubs is to involve young people in the challenges and fun of science, technology, engineering and maths, by encouraging them to exercise their creative and innovative skills supported by appropriate local companies. In this way, young engineers and scientists develop their skills in problem-solving through working as a team.
