| Aim |
The aim of the Clubs is to involve young people in the challenges and fun of science, engineering and technology by encouraging them to exercise their creative and innovative skills supported by appropriate local companies. In this way, young engineers develop their skills in problem-solving through working as a team. |
| |
| Stimulating Interest |
The Clubs stimulate an interest in science, engineering and technology, and demonstrate the relevance of much of the school curriculum in the development of Technologists in all disciplines. |

One of the keys to raising levels of employee performance is to create a sense of meaning and this can be achieved by engaging your staff in real life community-based learning experiences. Such experiences enable your employees to develop their skills as they make a positive impact in their local community - increasing their motivation and enhancing your business’ broader reputation – whilst at the same time helping to develop the future workforce to ensure they have the skills, adaptability and resilience needed to play their role in a smarter and wealthier Scotland.
Determined to Succeed is the Scottish Government’s strategy for enterprise in education - developing in young people skills for learning, life and work - better preparing them to take their place in a globalised society and economy. Employer engagement is at the core of Determined to Succeed – bringing relevance and context to the curriculum, engaging and enthusing young people and enhancing their learning.
