Influencers’ Dinner with Andy Samuel, Chief Executive, Oil & Gas Authority
Wednesday 13 June 2018
7:00pm for 7:30pm
Venue:- Crowne Plaza Aberdeen Airport Hotel, 2 International Avenue, Dyce, Aberdeen, AB21 0BE
The OGA was created in April 2015 and was one of the key recommendations of the Wood Review. Recent research indicates that its work and influence has helped add an additional 3.7 billion barrels to the recoverable reserves estimate for the North Sea.
In this latest SCDI Influencers’ Dinner, its Chief Executive, Andy Samuel, will touch on the role of the OGA and outline some of its key achievements since its creation. He will also look at the challenges presented by a rising oil price and the role the OGA sees for itself in ensuring that past industry behaviours, driven by high oil price, do not reoccur and impact upon the industry’s fragile recovery. In addition, Andy will also touch on the increasing importance of data sharing and look at the pipeline of future projects which the OGA is helping to facilitate.
