SCDI’s ‘Meet the Politician’ events give our broad-based membership the opportunity to question an influential politician about current policies and issues that affect Scotland. They help politicians to understand the latest concerns of SCDI members, and they therefore assist in the policy-making process.
Our guest this time is Alison Thewliss MP, Member of Parliament for Glasgow Central and Shadow SNP Spokesperson (Treasury).
Lunch will be served on arrival, after which you’ll hear from Ms Thewliss and have the chance to ask your questions and engage in discussion.
We expect to cover the cost of living crisis, and the fiscal outlook of the UK government with a new leader, including what calls opposition parties should make to the new Treasury, regarding taxation, spending and any other matters.
