Meet the Politician: Richard Lochhead MSP

Minister for Just Transition, Employment and Fair Work

Wednesday 25 August, 1130 – 1230

Online joining instructions will be sent the day before the event.

SCDI’s ‘Meet the Politician’ events, in partnership with OGUK, give our broad-based membership the opportunity to question an influential politician about current policies and issues that affect Scotland. They help politicians to understand the latest concerns of SCDI members, and they therefore assist in the policy-making process.

Currently the series is taking place online and the next event will feature Richard Lochhead MSP, Minister for Just Transition, Employment and Fair Work, as guest speaker.

Richard was first elected as a North East MSP in 1999 before winning the Moray by-election in 2006. He was Cabinet Secretary for Rural Affairs, Food and the Environment in the Scottish Government between 2007 and 2016.

As well as being a a busy constituency MSP for Moray, Richard is a member of two Committees in the Scottish Parliament: Culture, Tourism, Europe and External Relations and Education and Skills. He is also a member of numerous Cross-Party Groups and Co-Convenes the CPGs on Scotch Whisky and Food.

This is your chance to engage with Richard on the things that matter to you. We hope you can join us.

You can book your place using the Eventbrite form below. All SCDI Members will receive a members’ booking link – either in the event invitation or in our members’ newsletter – allowing them to reveal a hidden members ticket, which is free of charge.
