Enterprises and organisations are currently challenged by many factors, including the increase in energy prices, skills shortages, and productivity.

The June North East Productivity Club will be delivered in collaboration with the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service (SMAS) at Scottish Enterprise. We will learn how streamlining and analysing processes can help organisations to control costs.

We will hear from a business who successfully streamlined processes and as a result managed to control their costs.

We will also hear from Mark Richford, Performance Improvement Specialist, Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service on practical support for employers.

Paul Robertson PGC (Tech Mgmt) BSc, Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement Specialist

As a Process Engineering & Continuous Improvement Specialist, Paul joined NOV in 2017, supporting the ISE manufacturing sites to improve their existing processes and implement new procedures to drive efficiency, lead-time reduction and on-time delivery. He played an essential part in NOV’s journey towards their new facility in Kintore, working with staff providing Lean Training and Process Improvement Workshops to develop a culture driven towards implementing a “Best in Class” approach as they made the transition. He has over 29 years of experience working with global oil & gas companies in several Manufacturing, Engineering, Design, and Continuous Improvement roles.He has a PGC (Technology Management) and a BSc Engineering from The Open University. He is highly involved in NOV’s training and upskilling program and his involvement with local schools and DYW to promote careers in Engineering.
