Building and Nurturing your Network with Kingsley Aikins

Tuesday 8 September, 2pm

SCDI is delighted to partner with Scottish Business Network to bring our members free registration to this SBN Insights Session with networking guru Kingsley Aikens.

Kingsley will be sharing with us his global, world class expertise on how to build and nurture your network but also on the more important “why”. Given the challenges we are all facing at this time, Kingsley’s thoughts on how we can build networks in a time of social distancing, and why now is the best time to build your network, are more relevant than ever.

The event will follow an interactive format with discussion, presentation, and Q&A throughout. Kingsley will focus on addressing the key issues:

– How do we build networks in a time of social distancing
– Why is now the best time to build your network
– Me Inc. and how to increase the value of your Social Capital
– How platforms like Linkedin can be used to aid us to achieve our goals
– The four step networking process

A Dubliner by birth, Kingsley has global expertise in building and gaining value from networks. During his tenure at The Ireland Funds, based in Sydney and Boston as well as ten other cities around the world, he facilitated the funding of over 1200 projects in Ireland worth over a quarter of a billion dollars. He provides great insight into not only why networking is valuable to all but also why harnessing the social capital of your diaspora is extremely valuable. Given Mark Logan’s recent report which highlights in its recommendations that we need to do more with our diaspora based on the Irish success in this area, this event will assist with a greater appreciation of why our Scottish diaspora matters.

SBN have offered SCDI members a free place at this event. To claim your place, RSVP using the button below.
