SNH is the government body which promotes, cares for and improves Scotland’s natural heritage. It employs over 600 staff and has grant in aid funding of £46.5m in 2018 – 2019.
Mike Cantlay was appointed SNH Chair in 2017 and has presided over the development of a new Corporate Plan. Scotland’s nature is a national asset that provides a strong sense of identity and national pride. It is a big part of what makes Scotland special and Mike will outline SNH’s vision that by 2030, Scotland is recognised as a world leader in looking after and improving nature – everyone is involved; everyone benefits.
In particular, Mike will outline SNH’s work to help plan for great places. He will set out the organisation’s future planning for development services that:
- Share knowledge about Scotland’s nature;
- help investment in nature;
- support plan making and place making; and
- provide advice which enables good development
Mike and members of his team are keen to hear your views on what you believe is important for SNH and how the organisation can help Scotland to become the best place to visit, live, work and do business.
