Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – we’re there when it matters.
Our doctors, nurses, carers and counsellors give people the compassion and expert care they need in order to help them live the best life they possibly can via our seven palliative care hubs and four specialist neurological care centres across the UK.
About Sue Ryder Neurological Care Centre Dee View Court
Sue Ryder Neurological Care Centre Dee View Court is a specialist neurological care centre based in Kincorth, Aberdeen, caring for people aged 18 and over with a range of neurological conditions such as Huntington’s Disease and multiple sclerosis (MS).
Sue Ryder recently completed a twenty-bed expansion at the centre, enabling our team of expert staff to care for up to 44 people at any one time. This has been a huge step forward to help challenge the lack of specialist neurological care provision in the region
There is still so much that we can do to build on the success of our expansion and enhance the specialist care that our incredible nurses give, to help people to recover and rebuild after a devastating neurological diagnosis.
Our expert care team includes nurses, registered mental health nurses, care assistants, physiotherapists and occupational therapists who are specialists in supporting the physical, communicative, cognitive, behavioural and psychological needs of people with neurological conditions.
We can help with everything from easing physical symptoms to coming to terms with feelings. By focusing on health, wellbeing and what each person can do, not what they can’t, we support people to live their lives as fully as possible.
There are some incredible therapies, equipment, technologies and virtual reality programmes available that greatly augment an individual’s physiotherapy and rehabilitation, and enhance their quality of life. We are committed to investing in these and raising the funds to make this possible.
