SCDI ADVISING SCOTTISH GOVERNMENT ON ‘TEST AND PROTECT’
We are pleased to announce that we have begun working with the Scottish Government to raise awareness of its Test and Protect approach to COVID-19 and to make sure it meets the needs of Scottish business, supporting employers to protect their people and safely reopen the economy.
Test and Protect is Scotland’s approach to implementing a ‘test, trace, isolate, support strategy’ to break the chains of transmission of COVID-19. Its effectiveness will be vital in helping to eliminate the virus, protect public health and support economic recovery.
In April, SCDI called on the Scottish Government to implement such a strategy to save lives and livelihoods. In May, Test and Protect was launched nationally by the Scottish Government.
Now, as we come out of lockdown, we will be working with our members across all sectors and all geographies of the Scottish economy to:
- Understand their experiences in implementing Test and Protect.
- Identify their practical questions or emerging challenges.
- Highlight best practice, especially to assist SMEs.
All of our members are invited to take our short survey to have their say and shape our advice to government. It will close to responses on Wednesday 29 July.
A short-life Advisory Group representing the diversity and the key sectors of the Scottish economy will also be confirmed shortly to provide further input.
