SCDI responds to the Scottish Government’s South of Scotland proposal

The Scottish Government launched a consultation on its proposals for an enterprise agency for the South of Scotland in March. In January, the South of Scotland Interim Economic Partnership was established to prepare the groundwork for the future agency and discuss with local citizens, communities and experts how it could deliver inclusive growth for the region.

To inform our formal submission to the consultation on behalf of our members, SCDI has participated in several public consultation events held under the auspices of the Interim Economic Partnership across the South, participated in the National Economic Forum in Dumfries and organised two of our own roundtables to engage with local businesses, social enterprises and educational institutions.
