Clean Growth Leadership Group
Our Clean Growth Leadership Group brings together business leaders and thought leaders who are committed to tackling climate change from business, industry, academia, local government and the public sector.
It was launched to explore how Scotland can deliver clean growth that increases our prosperity, while reducing our carbon emissions. Our ambition is for Scotland to be a global leader in innovation and sustainability. You can download our Statement of Vision and Principles below.
The Leadership Group is drawing on the expertise and experience of our partners, and the diversity of the wider SCDI membership from all sectors and all geographies, to develop a route-map to net-zero by 2045.
Building Scotland’s Green Recovery
We’ve been developed a plan for Scotland’s Green Recovery from the COVID-19 crisis. You can download the report, Building Scotland’s Green Recovery, below.
It focuses on what government, as well as the public, private and third sectors, can do in the short-term as we look beyond lockdown to kick-start the economy, create new green jobs and accelerate our progress to net-zero.
We look forward to working with the Scottish Government, the UK Government, key stakeholders and our members to take forward the recommendations in Building Scotland’s Green Recovery.
We’d also love to hear your feedback on the report and to work with you and your business, organisation or sector to make our big ideas a reality. We know it will take leadership, partnership and collaboration.
The second phase of the Clean Growth Leadership Group project will take place later in 2020. We’ll be engaging with our members, partners and others to gather their views and evidence to look beyond the recovery and develop a longer-term route-map to net-zero.
We’ll release details of how you can get involved through interviews, focus groups and surveys shortly.
