Celebration of STEM 2024 – Inspire the next Generation!
SCDI’s Young Engineers and Science Clubs are hosting 7 exciting Celebration of STEM events in 2024 and we would be delighted if your company could be part of the day.
We are looking for companies to set the young people a five-minute STEM challenge, ideally, it should focus on a particular engineering or scientific discipline related to your company. Mathematics, technology and digital challenges are welcome too! Our experienced team can help co-develop a suitable challenge.
The day is an ideal opportunity to highlight industry and academic opportunities available to the local young people and we hope you will be keen to be involved.

Our Celebration of STEM events are fun, educational days that provide an opportunity for primary and secondary pupils to share their passion and enthusiasm for STEM, and showcase their Climate Smarter and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) projects and any other STEM projects undertaken in school to compete for a range of great prizes. As well as showcase their STEM projects, students also get the chance to compete in a series of fun five-minute STEM (science, technology, engineering, and maths) challenges set by industry partners. These challenges gives students the opportunity to interact with engineers and engage with engineering outside of normal educational settings, as well as hear more about the range of careers available.
