Our meeting will give you the chance to hear from Neil Rae, Owner, Raemoir House, which now operates as a high-end exclusive use venue. Neil will delve into the history of Raemoir, a residence which was a place of sanctuary for Londoners during the latter years of World War II, and which has also welcomed everybody from royalty to rock stars and politicians since it first opened its doors in 1943. Famous residents have included Oasis, Van Morrison, Cliff Richard, Ronnie Corbett and Hollywood actor Charlton Heston. At one time among visitors it earned the reputation of being the “Claridge’s of the North”, and the Scottish getaway hotel of choice for field sports enthusiasts and the London theatre set.
Following Neil’s talk we will then have a look around Raemoir and give you the chance to find out more about its current role and capabilities plus its rich history.
