Northern Innovation Hub Lunch in Thurso, Fort William, and Inverness

As part of the Inverness and Highland City-Region Deal, the Northern Innovation Hub has been established by Highlands and Islands Enterprise as a toolkit of programmes to support business growth. This £16m project includes intensive business support for young entrepreneurs, technology placements, and training for a new generation of software developers, along with support specifically targeted at tourism, creative industries, life science, and food and drink companies. This suite of support hopes to help increase the competitiveness and productivity of businesses in the Highlands and compliments existing support already provided by HIE and by Business Gateway.

With the majority of Northern Innovation Hub programmes now up and running, SCDI in partnership with HIE, are hosting roundtable lunches in Thurso, Fort William, and Inverness, to talk about the business support on offer, how it fits within the wider business support landscape, and how it’s contributing to the wider goals of the City-Region Deal.
