The event will be delivered in partnership with the Edinburgh College and it will focus on skills and recruitment channels to highlight the skills shortages and recruitment challenges that businesses are facing.

We have spoken to many organisations which have highlighted skills shortages and recruitment challenges as one of their most pressing current issue for their businesses.

What if there were ways to diversify recruitment channels and to develop people skills?

On the day, you will hear from Kirsty Dallas, Learning and Development Manager at Parity Group PLC on how they have invested in ‘growing their own talent’ and hired based on fit rather than experience. Plus, their academy and ongoing training approach. We will also hear from Rachel Connolly, Business Development Advisor at the Edinburgh College about the vast range of training opportunities for employers and the various funds available to help employers access training, including the flexible working development fund.

Kirsty Dallas, Learning and Development Manager, Parity
Kirsty has nearly 10 years experience in the recruitment industry, during this time she has fulfilled several roles including, resourcer, consultant, account manager and more recently she has taken on the role of Learning and Development Manager at Parity.
She is passionate about training and she feels that in an ever-changing world, it is important to keep on top of the upskilling of your people and ensuring that the round pegs are in the round holes. By placing people in roles that fit them and their skill set makes for a very happy work life.
